Winemaking notes: 61% Pinot Noir & 39% Chardonnay, a blend of 19 village sites throughout Champagne including Verzenay, Aÿ, Chouilly, Vertus, Oiry, and Cramant. Aged for over 78 months on the lees and disgorged in April of 2021 with a dosage of 8 g/L.
Tasting note: the ‘La Grand Anée’ is pale gold in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of rose hip, raspberry, green apple, chalk, match stick, lemon and orange blossom. One the palate this wine is off-dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of lemon, apple, baked cracker, toasted walnut, almond paste, red currant, goose berry, tangerine, creme de cassis and mint. Drink now through 2029, this wine is outstanding: 9/7/10.
