Winemaking notes: 85% Tannat & 15% Cabernet Franc grown on clayey-silty hillsides with gravel, south exposure in Gascony.
Tasting note: the ‘Les Passionnés’ Madiran is deep ruby with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of rose petals, licorice, plum, raspberry, cedar and tarragon. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, high alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of rose hip, black plum, boysenberry, green pepper, caramel, graphite and sage. Drink now through 2025, this wine is good: 8.7/10. This was a bit generic and didn’t show a lot of character.
