Winemaking notes: 100% Chardonnay aged in French oak barrels (33% new) for 16 months with partial maloloactic fermentation.

Tasting note: the Bâtard-Montrachet is medium gold in color with hints of amber on the rim and displayed a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of mayflower, persimmon fruit, dried apple, kaffir lime, lemon balm, lemon verbena, chalk, sea spray, toasted hazelnut, walnut, cinnamon, yogurt, wildflower honey, clover honey, and pineapple mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of elderflower, chalk, cream, pear, pineapple jam, apricot preserves, dried apricot, blood orange peel, hazelnut cream, and spearmint. Drink now through 2027, this wine is outstanding: 9.7/10. There was a real pedigree of flavor intensity and finish to this, it is in a good place and will hold on for another 5-ish years in the cellar.
