Winemaking notes: Brane-Cantenac is second growth wine from the 75-hectare estate and is grown on travel soils and produced from around 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot& 5% Cabernet Franc, aged in 60% new French oak barrels for 18 months. 

Tasting notes: the Margaux is medium garnet in color with a tawny rim and a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of blood orange, stewed cherry, caramel, candied orange peel, Turkish fig, palm date, cedar, dried tobacco, dill, dried sage, and nag champa. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of potpourri, dried cherry, dried cranberry, currant, caramel, cream, espresso, licorice, dried tobacco leaf, dried sage, tarragon and leather. Drink now through 2030, this wine is very good: 9.3/10. There is still a lot of freshness here, and this has the legs to go longer.
