Winemaking notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc from this historic producer founded in 1849. From 20+-year-old vines from two terroirs: Le Clos de Chevreau and l’Ormeau. Aged in the lees for twelve months. 

Tasting notes: The Touraine Chenonceau is pale lemon in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of hawthorn, honeysuckle, lilac, grapefruit, pear, melon, Egyptian musk, amber oil and lemongrass. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavor intensity and medium+ finish with flavors of lilac, elderberry, kiwi, passion fruit pink ginger, and lemongrass. Drink now, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10. There was lush core of fruit and a nice weight to this stunning Sauvignon Blanc from the famous vineyards around Château Chenonceau.
