3% abv, Famille Boisset, Prémeaux-Prissey, imported by Boisset USA, St-Helena, CA. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: fruit day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Chardonnay from under 2 hectares from plateau of the Hautes Côte de Nuits in the commune of Chaux, and the lieux-dits of Le Combet Chalot and Corvée de Villy, from 30+ year-old vines aged for 10 months in 30% new 500-liter barrels. The blend was great in using some declassified Vougeot 1er Cru and Cote de Beaune ‘Les Pierres Blanches’ juice from the Vougeraie estate.

Tasting note: the Bourgogne Chardonnay is medium gold in color with a clean nose of pronounced intensity with aromas of Meyer lemon, lemon balm, mandarin, vanilla, toasted hazelnuts, chestnut, yogurt, honey and apple mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of lilac, acacia, bergamot, yuzu lime, red apple, pineapple, apricot jam, lemon balm, cream, yogurt, vanilla, hazelnut and pineapple mint. Drink now, this Bourgogne regional Chardonnay is very good: 9.2/10. Incredible flavor intensity and a very nice finish make this an incredible example of high quality blended Bourgogne Chardonnay, the declassified Vougeot and Cote de Beaune must help with the punch!
