Winemaking notes: 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier & 20% Pinot Noir from the estate vineyard in the Marne Valley from the villages of Château-Thierry and d’Essômes-sur-Marne. Récolant-manipulant producer. Zero dosage and aged in the lees for four years before disgorgement.
Tasting note: this Brut Zéro Champagne is deep gold with a hint of pink-orange on the rim with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose hip, lilac, peony, leather, brioche, saltine, dried apple, lemon, dried cranberry, candied orange peel, and dried sage leaf. On the palate this wine is bone dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of lemon, grapefruit, sour cherry, pomegranate, chalk, wet stone, tarragon, mint, and sage. Drink now, this Champagne from the Marne Valley is good. 8.9/10.
