Winemaking notes: 40% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah & 30% Carignan from a single vineyard in Faugeres of 30+ year-old vines and certified organic. The grapes were partially whole cluster, fermented with natural yeast and the must was pumped over during fermentation. Aged 10 months in 90% tank and 10% barrels with a small sulfur addition before bottling.
Tasting note” the Brouca Faugeres is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose hip, violet, black cherry, strawberry, anise, musk, earth, wet rocks and rosemary. On the palate this wine is dry with medium tannin, high alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of rose hip, hibiscus, licorice, cream, raspberry jam, mulberry, earth, leather, cedar, cocoa powder, roasted coffee beans, vanilla and rosemary. Drink now through 2027, this Faugeres from the Languedoc region is very good: 9.4/10.
