Winemaking notes: 100% Chardonnay from a single vineyard site in the furthermost appellation in the Maconnaise. 20-year-old youngish vines yield hand-harvested grapes which are fermented in tank and aged on the lees for eight months.

Tasting note: the Cheveau Macon Chaintré is pale lemon in color with a clean nose of chalk, cream, lemon, apple and applemint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium alcohol, medium flavor intensity and medium finish with flavors of lilac, lemon blossom, pear, red apple, orange peel, chalk and mint. Drink now, this wine is a tad simple but good: 8.7/10.
