Winemaking notes: 100% Gringet from 50-year-old vines in the villages of Ayze in the Haut-Savoie not far from Mont Chamonix.
Tasting note: the ‘Cuvée Jonquille’ (daffodil) is pale gold in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of dandelion tea, hawthorn, white peach, nectarine, juniper berry, mirabel plum, beeswax and bisongrass. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of hawthorn, orange blossom, satsuma, nectarine, honeycomb, and mountain herbs. Drink now through 2028, this wine is very good: 9.3/10.
