13% abv, Denis Jamain, Reuilly, imported by Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: leaf day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Pinot Noir from a 4-hectare vineyard on marl and kimmeridgian limestone hills topped with pockets of red clay. The vineyard is certified biodynamic and the must is fermented with native yeast and the cap is punched down and the wine is aged in French oak from local forests in the Central Loire.

Tasting note: the Reuilly is pale ruby in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of rose petals, raspberry, cranberry, leather and oregano leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of rose potpourri, black cherry, leather, cedar, clove, fennel, tarragon leaf and oregano. Drink now through 2027, this wine is very good: 9.0/10. This Pinot Noir from the Central Loire valley was refreshingly balanced and savory.
