Winemaking notes: 100% Gamay Noir, EcoCert, from vineyards along the Moselle River. Côtes de Toul, one of just two AOCs in the Lorraine region, has a long and illustrious history of wine production but was only awarded AOC status in 1998 and has grown to about 100 planted hectares of vines today.
Tasting note: the Migot is medium ruby in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose hip, violet, black cherry, mulberry, currant leaf, cocoa powder, and marjoram leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with high acid, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of violet, black cherry, sour plum, mulberry, forest floor, tarragon, currant leaf and anise. Drink now through 2027, this Côtes de Toul from the Lorraine region is outstanding: 9.7/10. #Lorraine
