13% abv, Gilles Bley S., Lasbouygues, Francois & Jenny Selections, imported by USA Wine Imports, New York, NY. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: leaf day.

Winemaking notes: 95% Malbec and 5% Tannat organically grown on 15 hectare on higher elevation limestone terraces. 70-year-old vines yield the grapes which are de-stemmed and fermented with native years for five weeks and the wine rests in barrel before being bottled unfiltered.

Tasting note: the Clos Siguier is deep garnet in color with a funky natural nose of pronounced intensity with aromas of walnuts, blueberry, cedar, mulch, Turkish fig, and tobacco. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, high tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of damson, black plum, blueberry, boysenberry, cedar, leather, tobacco, and dried brush sage. Drink now through 2029, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10. The balance, density and intensity of this wine was impressive!
