100% Chardonnay from premier cru vineyards in the ‘Chenevottes’ and ‘Macherelles’ climats. The fermentation is long and cool and the wine is aged for 14 months in 25% new oak.
Tasting note: the Bouchard Chassagne is medium gold in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of mayflower, acacia, jasmine, pineapple jam, honeydew melon, white peach and pineapple mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of white blossom, lemon, pink lady apple, kiwi, melon, winter nectarine, cream, vanilla, wood spice and pineapple mint. Drink now through 2029, this wine is very good: 9.2/10.
