13% abv, Sury-en-Vaux, imported by David Bowler Selections, New York, NY. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: root day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown on chalk and clay soils from 30-year-old vines: sustainably-farmed. The wine rests on the lees in tank for a few months and is gently filtered with clay.

Tasting note: the Menetou-Salon is medium lemon in color with a clean nose pronounced intensity with aromas of acacia, lychee blossom, white peach, chalk and petrichor. On the palate this wine is dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of acacia, jasmine, lime, grapefruit, lemon balm, lychee, dragonfruit, gooseberry, and pineapple mint. Drink now, this Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley is very good: 9.5/10. There was a beautiful balance here, and a freshness that is sometimes lacking in recent warm vintages in Central Loire.
