Winemaking notes: 100% Syrah from the Gerine climat, a steep south-facing micaschiste soils. The wine spends 24 months in barrel.
Tasting note: the Côte Rôtie is deep purple in color with hints of garnet, and a clean nose of pronounced intensity aromas of violet, gypsum, lavender, roasted meat, chestnut, smoked cedar, vanilla, cream, and peppercorn. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, high tannin, high alcohol, full body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavor of violet, blueberry, blackberry, mirabel plum, roasted chestnut, vanilla, hazelnut cream, mushroom, duck fat, smoked meat, rosemary, sage and white pepper. Drink from 2026, this wine is perfect: 10/10.
