100% Melon d’Arbois, aka Melon à Queue Rouge, an ancient local clone of Chardonnay that produces a grape that is green with a pinkish red accent near the stem. Organically-farmed and aged in mostly new oak barrels.

Tasting note: the Côte du Jura is medium gold in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of mayflower, jasmine, fresh apple, bruised apple, pear, lemon, cream, hazelnut and mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of red apple, yellow apple, Anjou pear, honeycomb, yogurt, wet stones, pineapple mint and a hint of vanilla PPP. Drink now, this Melon d’Arbois from Jura is good: 8.8/10. This was super bright and clean but a touch on the simple side.
