13.5% abv, Bué, imported by VOS Selections, Inc., New York, NY. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: flower day.
Winemaking notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the estate’s 14 hectares of vines. The grapes are hand harvested from 15-year-old vines. The grapes are pressed whole cluster and the wine is aged in tank on the fine lees for 4 months.
Tasting note: the Menetou-Salon is medium lemon in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of lemon blossom, grapefruit and tarragon leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of acacia, lemon blossom, neroli, kaffir lime, grapefruit, dragonfruit and tarragon. This has a wonderful punch of freshness! It’s thrilling to see high acid Sauvignon Blanc from Loire again after a string of warm vintages. Drink now, this Sauvignon Blanc from Central Loire is very good: 9.1/10.
