12.5% abv, Cédric Garreau, Chanzeaux, imported by Paris Wine Co., San Fransisco, CA.
Winemaking notes: 70% Cabernet Franc & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon co-fermented with native yeast and aged in neutral French oak barrels for one year.
Tasting note: the Anjou Rouge is pale garnet in color with a funky natty nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rosehip, dried cherry, luxardo, kirsch, cassis, dried cranberry, smoked meat, duck confit, mouse, thyme, rosemary and sage. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium-minus tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium* flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of rosehip, carnation, cranberry, blueberry, raspberry, red plum, tobacco, cedar, leather, horse sweat, and a hint of smoke and sage. Drink now through 2026, this wine is very good: 9.5/10. Awesome flavor intensity, complexity and length!
