Winemaking notes: 85% Malbec & 15% Merlot farmed HVE, aged 12 months in a combination of tank and neutral oak.
Tasting note: the Cahors is deep purple in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of violet, damson plum, black cherry, tobacco, cedar, sage and tomato leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, high tannin, high alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of violet, damson, red plum, elderberry, tobacco leaf, fennel, sage and a hint of green pepper. Drink from 2026, this Malbec for the Southwest is good: 8.8/10. Massive tannins, this was a beast!
