Winemaking notes: 100% Pinot Noir, certified biodynamic, limestone marls in the grand cru Steinklotz. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and is aged in large oak barrels and treated with very limited sulfur.
Tasting note: the Alsace Pinot Noir is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose petals, carnation, peony, black cherry, cassis, raspberry, cranberry, cinnamon, nutmeg, hazelnut, almond, toasted chestnut. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium-minus body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of rose petal potpourri, rose water, kirshwasser, pomegranate, Rainer cherry, cinnamon, hazelnut, cream, balsam, nutmeg and tarragon leaf.
