13.5% abv, Olivier Pascal, Le Beausset, imported by Bandol Wines LLC, Houston, TX. Cork closure: synthetic. Biodynamic calendar: root day.
Winemaking notes: 60% Clairette, 25% Bourboulenc, 10% Sauvignon Blanc & 5% Rolle.
Tasting note: the Bandol Blanc is medium amber in color with a funky resolves nose of medium intensity with aromas of dandelion tea, wet hay, honeysuckle, blood orange, dried apricot and garrigue. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, high alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of dried apricot, candied dried orange peel, marmalade, ginger, honey, saffron, petrol and rosemary herbs. Drink now, this wine is good: 8.7/10. A bit over the hill but still with a lot of flavor intensity but a rough balance that wasn’t built for bottle age.
