13% abv, Jean-Michel Dupré, Les Ardillats, imported by Misa Wine Imports, Dallas, TX. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: fruit day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Gamay Noir from 70+ year-old vines from the south-facing hillside climat of La Ronze with steep granite soils with a stony topsoil and a very high proportion of granite.

Tasting note: the Régnié is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of magnolia blossom, hibiscus tea, black tea, mirabel plum, strawberry, wet stones and thyme. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of white blossoms, rose water, strawberry, red plum, kirsch, black tea, wet stones, and a touch of leather, oregano and thyme. Drink now through 2026, this Cru Beaujolias is good: 8.8/10. There was a nice floral and mineral component to this wine, but it was easy drinking and a little simple in terms of complexity and intensity.
