15.5% abv, Chinon, imported by Serendipity Wines LLC, Austin, TX. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: flower day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Chenin Blanc grown on pure chalky soils with clay and limestone known as ‘St. Louans’. The wine is aged for six months on the lees in tank.

Tasting note: the Chinon Blanc is medium gold in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of acacia, magnolia, marigold orange blossom, quince, peach, honeycomb, beeswax, cream, yogurt, butterscotch, and cheese. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, high alcohol, full body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of orange blossom, honeysuckle, ripe apple, pear, quince, peach, cheese, yogurt, butterscotch, marmalade, ginger and tarragon leaf. Drink now, this wine is merely good: 8.7/10. The acidity here is fairly low for Chenin, the alcohol is high and this wine has a richness of secondary flavors that overpowers the fruit.
