12.5% abv, Arnaud de Butler, Graves, imported by United Wine & Spirits, Houston, TX. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: leaf day.
Winemaking notes: 80% Sauvignon Blanc & 20% Sémillon aged for six month in 20% new French oak.
Tasting note: the Graves Blanc is pale lemon with a clean nose of medium intensity with aroma of acacia, jasmine, lemon, grapefruit, pomelo, lemongrass and bay leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of lemon blossom, acacia, jasmine, white peach, fresh apricot, grapefruit, lemon balm, bergamot, cream, Madagascar vanilla, and a touch of chamomile and lemongrass. Drink now, through 2026, this Sauvignon Blanc & Sémillon blend from the left bank of Bordeaux is nearly outstanding: 9.5/10. This has a gorgeous complexity, intensity and length and the use of barrique does not overwhelm the fruit.
