Winemaking notes: 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Franc from an 11-hectare hillside vineyard at the bottom of the slope of Château de Pressac, farmed organically, the vines are 40 years of age and the wine is aged in 30% new French oak for 16 months. 

Tasting note: the Saint-Emilio Grand Cru is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of violet, damson, black currant, black plum, graphite, cedar, tobacco and green pepper and rosemary. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, high tannin, high alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of rose petals, dark cherry, Rainer cherry, red currant, kirsch, cream, crème de Violette, tobacco, graphite, cedar, Madagascar vanilla, coconut shavings and a touch of eucalyptus and rosemary. Drink now through 2028, this Merlot & Cabernet France blend from the Right Bank of Bordeaux is very good: 9.5/10.
