13% abv, Philippe et Alban Lagrange, Meursault, tasted at domaine. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: fruit day.

Winemaking notes; 100% Pinot Noir from 50+ year-old vines from the village terroir. The wine is destemmed and aged in French oak for 14 months.

Tasting note: the Volnay is medium garnet with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of dedicated violet, stewed cherries, cassis, orange peel, black tea, earl grey, cedar, hazelnut, thyme and marjoram. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of crème de violette, cassis, cherry liquor, sous bois, mushroom, caramel, orange zest and thyme. Drink now through 2029, this Pinot Noir from Bourgogne Côte de Beaune is very good: 9.2/10. A fine offering with a very clean and precise expression of Volnay character that packs some great intensity and complexity indicative of the fine 2015 vintage.
