Winemaking note: 100% Gamay grown on volcanic soils from the Auvergne area of Loire Valley. The vineyards are certified biodynamic, the grapes are hand-harvested and the grapes are de-stemmed and fermented on the skins for 10 days before aging on the lees in stainless steel tank.

Tasting note: the Côtes du Forez is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of primrose, rose petal potpourri, cranberry, loganberry, grilled peach, leather, sous bois, white pepper and sage leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of rose hip tea, cranberry, loganberry, mirabelle plum, dried mushroom, leather, black tea, white pepper and dried sage. Drink now though 2027, this Gamay Noir from the Auvergne region of the Loire Valley is very good: 9.2/10.
