Winemaking notes: 85% Merlot & 15% Cabernet Franc, certified organic and biodynamic, from a 40-hectare vineyard on limestone hills with macerated on the skins for 20 days and aged for 12 months in 33% new oak. The vines are on-average 36 years of age. 

Tasting note: the Fronsac is deep garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of violet, black currant, black cherry, Japanese plum, cocoa powder, espresso beans, graphite, cherry pipe tobacco, cream, toasted coconut, anise, and eucalyptus. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium+ tannin, high alcohol, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors violet, anise, black cherry, dark plum, dark chocolate, vanilla, crème de cassis liqueur, cream, tobacco, and eucalyptus. Drink now through 2032, this wine is very good: 9.5/10.
