Winemaking notes: 50% Chardonnay & 50% Pinot Noir with 8% of the Pinot Noir being still red wine. 80%-90% of blend from the 2014 vintage with 10%-20% of blend from 2013 vintage. The Champagne was aged in the lees for 4 years before disgorgement, no malolactic fermentation and finished with a dosage of 6 grams of sugar. The Chardonnay comes from the villages of Avize, Ambonnat and Cuis and the Pinot Noir from Ambonnay and Bouzy.
Tasting note: the Champagne is pale pink orange in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose petal potpourri, blood orange, peony, dried apple, applesauce, leather, musk, cream, fennel. On the palate this wine is off-dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of primrose, cherry liqueur, blood orange, apple, cream, leather and mint. Drink now, this Brut Rosé is good: 8.9/10.
