Winemaking notes: 100% Cabernet Franc, organically-farmed, grown on sand and limestone soils. The grapes are de-stemmed and fermented with native yeast and the wine is aged in tank for six months.
Tasting note: the Chinon is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of rose petal potpourri, raspberry, crimson cherry, red currant, tobacco, olive tapenade, rosehip tea, jalapeño, thyme and sage leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of primrose, black tea, red currant, cherry liqueur, black tea, rosehip tea, tobacco, blood orange zest, pink peppercorn, sage and thyme. Drink now through 2035, this Cabernet Franc form the Touraine region of the Loire Valley is very good: 9.4/10.
