Winemaking notes: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot grown biodynamically on gravel, clay and limestone soils. 80ha of vines are planted on the property in the north part of the Pauillac appellation. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak for 18 months.
Tasting note: the Pauillac is deep garnet in color with a clean nose of pronounced intensity with aromas of primrose, black currant, red currant, black cherry, caramel, Turkish fig, crème de violette, crème de cacao, vanilla, cedar, graphite, pencil shavings and mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, high tannin, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of violette, damson, red currant, fig, cassis, cedar, espresso beans, vanilla, cocoa powder, caramel, tea leaf, mint and eucalyptus. Drink now through 2038, this Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the left bank of the Médoc in Bordeaux is outstanding: 9.6/10.
