8.5% abv, Bernard Rondeau, Boyeaux-Saint-Jérôme, imported by Charles Neal Selections, Richmond, VA. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: fruit day.

Winemaking notes: 100% Gamay Noir hand-harvested and pressed in whole bunches and fermented to 8% alcohol in stainless steel and cooled down. The wine is put into bottle where an additional fermentation takes place under pressure and the wine is disgorged and the yeasts are removed leaving about 30 grams of residual sugar.

Tasting note: the Bugey Cerdon is deep pink in color with hints of ruby on the rim and a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of hibiscus, dark cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, orange zest and tarragon leaf. On the palate this wine is medium sweet with medium acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of primrose, grenadine, red cherry, red currant, hibiscus tea, orange peel and herbs de Provence. Drink now, this sparkling wine from Gamay Noir is very good: 9.1/10.
