The 2018 Bélingard is a white wine from the Dordogne Valley area in the SouthWest of France. Not far from Bordeaux’s Entré-Deux-Mèr, the blend here is remarkably similar as well as the quality one might expect: 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Muscadelle, 20% Sémillon

Tasting note: The wine is pale lemon in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity aromas of musty hay, grapefruit, gooseberry, pomelo, and lemongrass. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acidity, medium body, medium alcohol and a medium+ flavor intensity and medium finish with flavors of almond, marzipan, lemon, bitter phenolic, and oxidized character. Drink now, not suitable for further aging, this wine is acceptable: 8.4/10.
