From the domaine: “Jean-Christophe Bott is heir to the family tradition dating back to 1795, when his ancestor, Jean-Martin Geyl tended his vines and made his wine. Jean-Christophe Bott has been responsible for Domaine Bott-Geyl since 1993 and he converted the vineyards to be organic in 2000 and then biodynamic in 2002.”
The 2017 Riesling ‘Les Élements’ is certified organic and is from vineyards in the Alsace villages of Riquewihr, Zellenberg and Ribeauvillé and was produced in a straightforward manner: fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for six month before bottling.

On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium minus body, medium alcohol, medium flavor intensity and a medium minus finish with flavors of lilac, apple, lemon, pineapple, cream and beeswax. This wine is rather simple but good, drink now: 8.6/10.
