The Bonpas is a celebrated Carthusian monastery located in Durnace outside of Avignon. The 2016 cuvée is produced with traditional winemaking methods and is a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvedre.

Tasting note: the wine is dark garnet in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of lavender, fresh date, dried fig, blood orange, Madagascar vanilla, nutmeg, fresh oregano and dried sage. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium tannin, medium+ body, medium+ alcohol and a medium finish with flavors of lavender, fig, plum, dried cherry, cranberry, leather, earth, cocoa, caramel, cedar and herbs de Provence. Drink now, this wine is very good 9.0/10.
