Winemaking note: 98% Syrah and 2% Viognier, grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and co-fermented before being aged in 25% new French oak barrels.

Tasting note: the Côte-Rotie is deep ruby in color with a hint of garnet on the rim, and a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of violet, chestnut, blackberry, plum, filled peaches, roasted lardons, cedar and woodspice. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium+ body, medium+ alcohol, medium+ flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of dark cherry, plum, blackberry, Turkish fig, date, caramel, vanilla, tobacco, bay leaf, white pepper and smoke. Drink now or through 2030, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10; it is absolutely loaded with flavor intensity and has a nice structure for aging.
