Winemaking notes: “Mostly Altesse (aka Roussette) grapes from 50+ year old vines with the addition of a little Chardonnay and Mondeuse Blanc from south facing vines grown on limestone soil. The tiny 5 hectare Domaine Lupin is run along organic lines by Bruno Lupin and the award-winning ‘Frangy’ is the only wine he makes.”

Tasting note: the Lupin Roussette is medium lemon in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of dandelion tea, honeysuckle, pine nuts, hay, quince, lemon and fennel. On the palate this wine is dry with high acid, medium+ body, medium alcohol, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of bergamot, citrus blossom, dandelion, citronella, kafir lime, charentais, pickled pineapple fruit cup, ruby red grapefruit, lemongrass, fennel and bergamot oil. Drink now or through 2024, this wine is outstanding: 9.7/10.
