Winemaking notes: 100% Chenin Blanc. The Bizards’ vineyard land sits at the highest point in the Savennières appellation. Vines are pruned in gobelet. Cover crop is planted in between every other vineyard row. Hand harvested. Grapes are pressed gently by pneumatic press. Juice rests for 24 hours before being racked into stainless steel cuves for fermentation to begin•No malolactic fermentation for white wines. A blend of parcels from the lieux-dits ‘Le Parc‘ and ‘La Croix Picot‘. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks

Tasting note: the d’Épiré Savennières is medium lemon in color with a clean nose of pronounced intensity with aromas of daisy, dandelion tea, lanolin, bergamot, green tea and Anjou pear. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of bergamot, honeysuckle, orange blossom, slate, pear, satsuma, mandarin, marmalade jelly, mirabel plum, yellow apple, tarragon leaf, sage leaf, pink ginger, and wet stones. Drink now through 2030, this wine is outstanding: 9.5/10.
