Winemaking notes: 100% Cabernet Franc. Grapes are sourced from parcels Clos de la Cure and Clos de la Chappelle on gravel and clay soils, 35-year old average. Cold skin maceration lasts for five days. Fermentation lasts for 15 days at warmer temperatures. Free-run juice is blended with selected press wines. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 3-4 year-old barrels and ages for 12 months

Tasting note: the ‘La Cure’ is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of red currant, plum, toasted chestnut, tobacco and wet leaves. On the palate this wine is dry with a high acid, medium+ tannin, medium body, medium alcohol, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of dried rose petal potpourri, rosehip, raspberry, red plum, currant, red licorice, anise, tobacco leaf, bell pepper and fennel. Drink now through 2029; this wine is very good: 9.3/10.
