14.5% abv, Bideau, Cars, imported by Votto Vines Importing, Hamden, CT. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: flower day.

Winemaking notes: 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Château established in 1946 by Yves Armand Bideau.

Tasting note: the Petit Boyer is medium ruby in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of red plum, pencil shavings and green pepper. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium tannins, medium body, high alcohol, medium flavor intensity and a medium minus finish with flavors of rose petals, plum, currant, anise, green pepper, serrano pepper, licorice and bay leaf. Drink now: 8.3/10. Overall, this wine is acceptable because it has some rough edges, short finish, and tastes like it was manipulated through treatment with oak chips.
