Winemaking notes: 100% Poulsard grown on clay and marl soils in a 2.43 hectare vineyard, the vines were planted in 1992, the grapes are hand harvested and aged half in tank and half in small oak barrels for four months.
Tasting note: the Poulsard is pale ruby in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of rose petals, raspberry, cherry, toasted chestnut, dried hay and white pepper. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium minus tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and medium+ finish with flavors of rose hip, strawberry, dark cherry, chestnut, cream, bramble, white pepper and bay leaf. Drink now or through 2032, this wine is good: 8.8/10. It possesses an interesting texture and character and has some nice subtle complexity.
