Winemaking notes: 95% Grenache Noir, 2% Mourvèdre, 1% Counoise, 1% Cinsault & 1% Terret Noir sustainably-farmed from old vines with a vineyard block of 100-year-old vines, Font de Courtedune’s Châteauneuf vineyard is right next to esteemed benchmark Château Rayas, featuring the same sandy soils. The winemaking is very traditional to the region with whole-bunch clusters fermented and aged in concrete vats, with no oak used in the winery.

Tasting note: this wine is medium garnet with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of violet, lavender, raspberry, red licorice, clove, anise and sage leaf. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium+ tannin, high alcohol, a full body, medium+ flavor intensity and medium+ finish with flavor of lavender, rose water, orange blossom, raspberry, red plum, black cherry, red and black licorice, anise, fennel, and herbs de Provence. Drink now or through 2025, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10. This is very clean and concentrated, lovely aromas and real a pedigree of balance for this appellation.
