12% abv, Celles-sur-Ocre, imported by Hand Picked Selections Inc., Warrebton, VA. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: leaf day.

Winemaking notes: RM grower Champagne. 100% Pinot Noir with old vines 25+ years with a 60-year-old block. Sustainably-farmed. “The house style at Champagne Laurent is characterized by single‐varietal bottlings (not blends), and stainless steel vinification and elevage (no oak) with full malolactic conversion. Blended from 5 vintages, aged a minimum of 30 months on the yeast. Finished with 9‐10 g/l.”

Tasting note: the Blanc de Noir is medium gold in color with a hint of pink. This wine had a pronounced nose with aromas of dried cranberry, leather, biscuit, yeast, leather, and a hint of Egyptian musk. This wine is off-dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of dried rose petals, blood orange, morello cherry, apricot, pink plum, red apple, biscuit, toasted brioche, orange peel and smoked cherrywood. Drink now this wine is very good: 9.2/10. The bold flavors and intensity here make this an exciting example of well-done Blanc de Noirs Champagne.
