15% abv, Yves Cheron, Vacqueyras, imported by Serge Doré Selections Ltd., Chappaqua, NY. Cork closure: natural. Biodynamic calendar: leaf day.

Winemaking notes: 60% Grenache Noir, 30% Syrah & 10% Mourvèdre. The Grenache are 50+-year-old vines and the Mourvèdre vines around 25.

Tasting note: the Gigondas is deep garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of lavender, potpourri, black licorice, strawberry, white pepper and garrigue. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, high tannin, high alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a medium finish with flavors of lavender, Turkish fig, date palm, purple royal raspberry, blackberry, rhubarb, caramel, wood spice and cola spices. Drink from 2024, this wine is very good: 9.4/10. Although on the young side, and stuffed with tannins, this show great potential to improve and has a lovely balance to age nicely.
