Winemaking notes: 100% Syrah from40-year-old vines grown on the granite slope of Crozes-Hermitage. The wine is fermented in oak vats on the skins for 25 days and aged for 10 months in a combination of oak vat and tank.

Tasting note: the Crozes-Hermitag is medium purple in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of violet, lavender, blackberry, black plum, smoke, duck fat, and black pepper. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium tannin, high alcohol, medium+ body and a medium+ finish with flavors of violet, blackberry jam, black plum, black cherry, tar, leather, earth, duck fat, cream, black licorice, wood spice, white pepper and tarragon and fennel spice. Drink now through 2027, this wine is good: 8.8/10.
