12% abv, Venteuil, imported by United Wines & Spirits, Houston, TX. Cork closure: composite. Biodynamic calendar: fruit day.
Winemaking notes: Récolant: 50% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay & 15% Pinot Noir, sustainably-farmed, and vinified with no malolactic fermentation, this Champagne is aged sûr latte for 30 months and finished with a low dosage of 6g/L.
Tatsing note: the Marniquet Brut is pale gold in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of dried rose petals, acacia, amaretto, baked cherry, dehydrated strawberry, baked pear, cheese, brioche and lemon zest. On the palate this wine is off-dry with high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium + flavor intensity and medium+ finish with flavors of maraschino cherry, pomegranate, green apple, lime skin, marzipan, praline, brioche, biscuit, toast and fennel. Drink now this wine is good, 9.0/10. I was impressed by the QPR for this wine, and the zesty-ness juxtaposed with the dark fruit and secondary and tertiary complexity.
