Winemaking notes: 100% Roussanne from the ‘Les Châteaux’ vineyard, biodynamically-farmed, the must is fermented with natural yeast and the wine rests in fiberglass eggs for six moths with no sulfur additions.
Tasting note: the Chignin-Bergeron is medium gold in color with a clean nose of pronounced intensity with aromas Hawthorne, green tea, white peach, nettle and pineapple mint. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acid, medium alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of honeysuckle, hawthorn, bergamot, green tea, white peach, nectarine, quince, honeycomb, spearmint and marjoram drink now through 2026, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10. Simply superb concentration, nice balance and very uniquely herbal in the way only Savoie wines can be on occasion.
