Winemaking notes: 75% Sémillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc & 2% Muscadelle from botrytized hand-selected noble grapes, aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 18 months.
Tasting note: the Barsac is deep gold in color with a clean nose of pronounced intensity with aromas of gardenia, saffron, honeydew, white peach, peach preserves, pineapple preserves, ginger, vanilla, cream, lemon meringue and anise. On the palate this wine is luscious with medium+ acid, high alcohol, medium+ body, pronounced flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of lilac, jasmine, gardenia, hibiscus, saffron, pineapple, candies lemon, honeydew, cantaloupe, kumquat, apricot preserve, marmalade, cream, vanilla, honey, ginger, nutmeg and anise. Drink now through 2042, this wine is outstanding: 9.6/10. Gorgeous complexity and a stunner of a finish!
