Winemaking notes: 100% Pinot Noir from45-year-old vines, aged in 20% new French oak (Allier and Vosges) for 15 months. The grapes are de-stemmed and fermented with native yeast. Justin is a 13th-generation vigneron of the historic Girardin family in Bourgogne and and encompasses 17 hectares mostly in the Côte de Beaune.
Tasting note: the Santenay Beauregard is medium ruby in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of violet, lavender, ripe cherry, pomegranate, coffee beans and wax. On the palate this wine is dry with high acid, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, medium-minus body, medium+ flavor intensity and a long finish with flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, wax, dark butter chocolate, Turkish tobacco, wood spice and aniseed. Drink from 2025, this wine is very good: 9.2/10.
